Vote on LUS deal unnecessary?

As reported by KATC earlier this evening, documents from February suggest that a public vote is unnecessary for LCG to approve a properly crafted CEA (Cooperative Endeavor Agreement) for a company to manage LUS’s operations. The narrative of late is that a public vote is desired by all parties but documents show that this desire many not have always been the case.

For some time we’ve been hearing rumors about a legal opinion on the subject, so it’s good to finally know where that opinion came from and to read it for ourselves. Check out KATC’s full story. The link to the documents can be found in the last line of the news story. The February 1st document about not needing a public vote is titled “LUS-Memo.pdf”
