Parents send their children to school to learn language arts, math, and science. They don’t expect angry school employees, political activists, and social justice warriors to have unabated access to their children’s minds, especially at their own (taxpayer) expense!

The bill known as HB122 is often referred to as the “Don’t say gay” bill by the agenda-driven Leftist press. However, the reality is that most reasonable people support Dodie Horton‘s legislation. This bill prohibits public school employees from encouraging children to experiment with the employee’s personal adult sexual proclivities. This measure is widely considered sensible by everyone but the press.

Nevertheless, some school employees are angry with this reasonable approach. One irate public school employee has asserted that if she is no longer permitted to discuss her personal adult sexual preferences with your children, it may result in lawsuits. Check it out.

The "Most Influential Voice"

Citizens for a New Louisiana has been called Louisiana's most influential voice. That wasn't by us, by the way. It's a name we were given by a politician who didn't like us very much. That phrase we borrowed also wasn't intended to be a compliment. It started with a word we don't generally include in the quote: "Unfortunately," the most influential voice is ... It was unfortunate because they couldn't lie to the public while we were around. Truth be told, they weren't really saying that I was influential. They were saying the knowledge we shared made YOU influential.

At its core, influence is nothing more than the application of knowledge. You are most influential when you are knowledgeable. However, not all knowledge is equal. Trusting someone else's opinion as if it were knowledge is dangerous. That's why I always tell you never completely trust anyone (including me). Warren Buffet said it this way: "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently." That's why reading things for yourself is crucial: spot-checking the details and forming your own studied opinion.
