Right now, any unused or uncommitted money in the Insurance Fraud Investigation Dedicated Fund Account is returned to licensed insurers at the end of each fiscal year. • If the individual is under 14, penalties increase to a fine between $5,000 and $75,000, imprisonment at hard labor for 25 to 50 years, or both, with half of the fines distributed accordingly.

• If the person solicited is under 18, penalties include a fine between $3,000 and $50,000, imprisonment at hard labor for 15 to 50 years, or both, with half of the fines allocated as specified.
• If the person solicited is under 14, penalties increase to a fine between $5,000 and $75,000, imprisonment at hard labor for 25 to 50 years, or both, with half of the fines distributed accordingly.

Allocation of Fines:

The bill specifies that half of the fines collected from these offenses are to be distributed in accordance with R.S. 15:539.4, allocating funds to support victims of sex-related crimes, such as contributions to special funds or programs aimed at assisting exploited children or survivors.
