GROWS GOVERNMENT AND GOVERNMENT SPENDING:
Present law requires such funding to be distributed in an amount equal to $2.50 for each resident of the parish age 60 or older as of the latest federal decennial census or $100,000,
whichever amount is greater.
Proposed law retains present law but increases the minimum per resident amount from $2.50 to $4.00 and increases the standard per parish minimum
amount from $100,000 to $150,000.
Present law requires the minimum total annual appropriation for such distributions to be $6,900,000.
Proposed law increases this amount to $10,494,238.
