SUMMARY:Champions of Change Banquet & Silent Auction
DESCRIPTION:SCROLL DOWN TO PURCHASE A SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE OR INDIVIDUAL TICKETS! \nGet Tickets Now \nFeaturing Honored Guest & World-Renowned Pro-Life Advocate: Frank Pavone.\nCitizens for a New Louisiana and Priests for Life have come together to bring Frank Pavone to Lafayette\, Louisiana on September 7th\, 2023.\nCitizens for a New Louisiana is excited to invite you to be a sponsor of our Banquet and Silent Auction\, Champions of Change: Spot-Lighting the Pro-Life Movement.  Our honored guest\, Frank Pavone\, a world-renowned Pro-Life advocate who has been at the front lines of the movement for decades\, along with local Pro-Life Leaders Brenda DesOrmeaux\, Ben Clapper\, Tara Wicker\, Krystal Romero\, Patrice Lewis and others will be honored at this great event\, sharing their knowledge\, stories\, and a look into the future of the Pro-Life movement. Please see the sponsorship packet below and contact Tiffany Nolan to be a part of this special event. \nAbout The Event: \nAfter crossing paths several times at numerous conservative events\, Citizens for a New Louisiana’s Executive Director\, Michael Lunsford ended up seated alongside Frank Pavone at the same table at a breakfast event\, where they had a quick chat about Louisiana’s strong Pro-Life movement. That was the start of an ongoing conversation that occurred across multiple events and states\, eventually leading to Frank Pavone’s upcoming visit to South Louisiana. All Proceeds Benefitting Priests for Life & New Louisiana Foundation. Frank Pavone is one of the most prominent pro‐life leaders in the world. He is at the forefront of the Pro-Life movement and on September 7th\, 2023\, we will be honored with his presence\, the sharing of his knowledge\, and a look into the future of the Pro-Life movement. \nAbout Frank Pavone: \nPro‐life Leader FRANK PAVONE is one of the most prominent pro‐life leaders in the world. Originally from New York\, he was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1988 by Cardinal John O’Connor\, and has dedicated his entire life and ministry to ending abortion. In 1993 he requested and received permission to serve as the National Director of Priests for Life\, which\, under his leadership\, has become the largest Catholic organization focused on ending abortion. He is also the President of the National Pro‐life Religious Council\, and the National Pastoral Director of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and of Rachel’s Vineyard\, the world’s largest ministry of healing after abortion. He travels throughout the country\, to an average of four states every week\, preaching and teaching against abortion. He broadcasts daily to hundreds of thousands of people via his television\, radio and online programs. Over the past three decades\, Pavone has achieved many notable pro‐life accomplishments. For example\, Mother Teresa asked him to speak in India on the life issues. The Vatican appointed him to the Pontifical Academy for Life and to the Pontifical Council for the Family to help coordinate the pro‐life activities of the Catholic Church. He was present at the bedside of Terri Schiavo as she was dying and was an outspoken advocate for her life. Members of Congress have invited him to address the pro‐life caucus and to preach at the prayer service they had in the Capitol just prior to the vote on health care reform. He served on the Pro‐life and Catholic advisory boards of both of President Trump’s election Campaigns and in 2020 was National Co‐Chair of Pro‐life Voices for Trump. He currently serves on former President Trump’s National Faith Advisory Board. He received the “Proudly Pro‐life Award” by the National Right to Life Committee and numerous other pro‐life awards and honorary doctorates. He is the author of four books\, Ending Abortion\, Not Just Fighting It; Pro‐life Reflections for Every Day; Abolishing Abortion\, and Proclaiming the Message of Life. Norma McCorvey\, the “Jane Roe” of the Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade abortion decision\, called Pavone “the catalyst that brought me into the Catholic Church.” His efforts have been recognized as a key factor in the reversal of Roe vs. Wade. His work has been praised by Presidents\, Popes\, and countless citizens. Some Church leaders\, however\, have tried to cancel him and in 2022 convinced Pope Francis to dismiss him from the priesthood. He continues\, however\, in his fulltime pro‐life leadership role with the unanimous support of the ministries he leads and his pro‐life colleagues. Meanwhile\, he is working within the Church to have his priesthood fully reinstated. \n \nMake checks payable to New Louisiana Foundation. You are invited to come out and meet him. \nThe Reagan luncheon began in 2012 in Baton Rouge\, and this is the first-ever Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon to be held in Lafayette Parish. It is also Dr. Fleming’s first public address in the Lafayette area since taking office. \nDr. John Fleming is a physician\, entrepreneur\, military veteran\, and former Congressman from the 4th district of Louisiana. He served four terms in Congress from 2009- 2017. While in Congress\, Fleming founded the House Freedom Caucus\, along with Jim Jordan\, Ron DeSantis\, and Mark Meadows. \nAfter leaving Congress\, he was appointed to three different positions in the Trump administration. He served from 2017-2019 as Deputy Assistant Secretary at Health and Human Services. He was appointed and Senate-confirmed in 2019 as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development\, and then he was detailed to the West Wing of the White House as Deputy Chief of Staff to President Trump in 2020. \nFleming grew up in a working-class home. His father died while he was still in high school\, leaving him with no breadwinner in the home\, two younger siblings\, and a disabled mother. Despite such hardships\, John worked through college and was accepted into medical school. After his residency in Family Medicine\, Dr. Fleming served as a Naval Medical Officer. After leaving the military\, he set up a medical practice in Minden where he lives today. In addition\, he started several companies that operate commercial real estate and multi-unit franchise companies that continue to operate today. \nHe was elected State Treasurer in November with 65 percent of the vote statewide. \nJohn and Cindy Fleming have been married for 44 years. They have four grown children and five grandchildren. \nMichael Lunsford\, president of Citizens for a New Louisiana will preside over the meeting\, which will be broadcast live by Dr. John Fleming State Treasurer on Facebook. Lunch is payable to the restaurant and averages $12 to $20 depending on your entree. Reservations are not necessary. \nThe Ronald Reagan Newsmaker Luncheon is a project of the Louisiana Republican Assembly. SUMMARY:Lafayette Secret Lunch with Rachel Whittle
DESCRIPTION:Secret Lunch is back with a bang! Citizens for a New Louisiana is partnering with Jill Hines of Health Freedom Louisiana to host lunch with Lafayette’s own Rachel Whittle. Join us as Rachel discusses her new film Protocol 7 in Lafayette on August 17. The film is a true story about a woman victimized by massive corporate fraud in the healthcare industry. \nLunch is $25. RSVP or get a “ticket” to walk straight in without delay. \nRachel Guidry Whittle is known for The Purge\, The Thing about Pam\, NCIS New Orleans\, and Girls Trip. She was born and raised in the heart of Cajun country\, Lafayette\, Louisiana. And while she entered the industry later than some\, she formed a love for storytelling early in life. Growing up\, Rachel’s father would teach her through telling stories rather than just making statements. This was when she learned first-hand the power stories have to teach lessons\, provide escapes\, and form connections. Years later\, these gifts that storytelling offers to the world would pull her into the entertainment industry. \nEver versatile\, she loves working behind the camera just as much as in front and firmly believes in helping wherever needed when on set. Because of this\, Rachel has expanded her knowledge of the various roles on set and now works as a filmmaker\, such as directing and producing. Some of her favorite adventures in the filmmaking arena have come from a comedy sketch filmmakers’ troupe she is a part of called A Dangerous Flock. Rachel’s love lies in authentic storytelling\, whether in front of the camera or behind it. She says it best\, “My favorite thing about filmmaking is that it requires collaboration. No one can do any of this on their own. It takes a beautiful mesh of minds to make it work.”
